Senior Associate/Editor

Description

Forward Risk is seeking a talented and experienced individual to support our U.S. and international investigative due diligence research team primarily as an editor/reviewer. This position requires a highly motivated editor and researcher with strong analytical ability, around four to six years of experience, and a successful track record as an editor or reviewer in the corporate investigations, and due diligence, or legal industry.

This Senior Associate/Editor will substantially serve as a member of the firm’s editing and reviewing team in support of major research projects and high-stakes, complex investigations. Successful candidates for this role will manage and execute research and quality control functions across multiple investigative research and intelligence deliverables, including those in support of litigation (including asset traces), corporate contests (including proxy battles and hostile takeovers), political risk and market entry projects, and due diligence matters.

Senior Associates/Editors will also be called upon to take charge of additional operational responsibilities, which may include training and research support. The firm will rely on Senior Associates/Editors to provide mentorship and guidance to Associate-level employees.

Requirements

  • Strong English-language writing and editing skills
  • Mastery of open source and public records (OSINT) research 
  • Demonstrated success as editor or reviewer in the professional services industry, particularly investigations, research, law, and journalism 
  • Elite investigative and editorial skills, with demonstrated ability to guarantee the integrity and thoroughness of research deliverables
  • Track record of managing or executing quality control functions within  professional services industry, particularly investigations, research, law, and journalism investigations and due diligence industry
  • Capacity to adapt to new situations and accept/apply feedback in a professional manner
  • Intellectual curiosity combined with strong research and writing skills
  • Mastery of open source and public records (OSINT) research 
  • Experience conducting investigations in support of pre-investment/M&A transactions or corporate contests is a strong plus

Education and Professional Experience 

Undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis on research and writing skills: Journalism, English, International Relations/Affairs, Journalism, Political Science, or other related areas of study.

Four to six years of corporate investigations or due diligence industry experience.
