Senior Associate

Overview

Forward Risk is seeking a talented and experienced individual to conduct U.S. and international investigative due diligence research for a wide range of corporate and financial clients. This position requires a highly motivated researcher and leader with a strong analytical ability, around four to six years of industry experience, and an investigative mindset.

Senior Associates are responsible for leading and managing major research projects and undertaking complex and high-stakes investigations. They will lead and execute investigations in support of litigation (including asset traces), corporate contests (including proxy battles and hostile takeovers), political risk and market entry projects, and due diligence matters.

Senior Associates will also be called upon to take charge of additional operational responsibilities, which may include: quality control, training, client relations, business development, or personnel management. The firm will rely on Senior Associates to provide mentorship and guidance to Associate-level employees.

Requirements

  • Strong English-language writing skills
  • Mastery of open source and public records research
  • Demonstrated success in the corporate investigations or due diligence industry
  • Elite investigative skills and ability to guarantee the integrity and thoroughness of research
  • Ability to lead and manage large scale research and investigative projects
  • Track record of managing personnel and/or quality control processes at previous employer
  • Capacity to adapt to new situations and accept/apply feedback in a professional manner
  • Intellectual curiosity combined with research skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Professional working proficiency in a foreign language (reading, writing) is a plus
  • Experience conducting investigations in support of pre-investment/M&A transactions or corporate contests is preferred

Education and Professional Experience

Undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis on research and writing skills: International Relations/Affairs, Journalism, Political Science, or other related areas of study.

Four to six years of industry experience.
